TRANSMITTER, TEMPERATURE, ELECTRICAL RESISTANCE, ARMORED,
BAYONET LOCKING TYPE, (-50 ºC TO 300 ºC)
Inactive for new design after 24 November 1997.
This specification is approved for use by all Departments and Agencies of the Department
of Defense.
1. SCOPE
1.1 Scope. This specification covers the requirements for flexible sheath, electrical
resistance-type, cylinder head temperature transmitters.
1.2 Classification. The temperature transmitters shall be classified as specified below
(see 6.2):
MS24482-1 - 2.850-inch stem length
MS24482-2 - 2.203-inch stem length
1.3 Part or identifying number (PIN). The PIN to be used for temperature transmitters
acquired to this specification is created as follows. Legacy part numbers have been retained to
support continued procurement:
M 24482 - X

Size: 1 - 2.850-inch stem length
2 - 2.203-inch stem length
